I have had the pleasure of getting to know Nancy Hatch as a client of my clinic, Goldenvale Veterinary Hospital, over the last decade. I have used her as a trainer for my personal dogs and through the clinic have been part of the medical care team for her dogs.
Through these interactions I have learned about her Partner Dog program and got interested in helping to support her and the program. I truly believe that Therapy/service dogs can be a vital part of human mental and physical health management plans. The dogs chosen to be part of the program are screened and need to display appropriate personalities and trainability to be able to provide the support needed. Nancy’s background in training and having had multiple of her own service dogs over the years makes her an excellent head of the program to be able to breed for desired qualities and choose the right dogs.
